restaurant review evoo

Restaurant Review: EVOO

Alli and I went to EVOO, a restaurant in Somerville we've been

planning to visit for a little while. Somehow we don't get around to

that area often, even though it has a bunch of good places, like Dali,

and we work nearby.

EVOO standa for Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and it's a nice combination of

hip atmosphere, good food, and neighborhood-style service. We had a

great time, and highly recommend it.

The menu is pretty interesting. My pate of red deer was awesome,

simply delicious. Alli's steak was very good. The desserts all looked

great, and our pistachio creme brulee was superb.

The wine list is decent as well, providing a nice range of prices

without being overwhelming. We had a half-bottle of a 2003 Bordeaux

from Haut Segonnes (in the St. Emilion area), which was delicious.

All in all, a fun evening.
